About Aimee...
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. I always knew I would be an artist, I just never knew what kind. I still don't have that part narrowed down, but honestly, I hope I never do. I love experimenting with it all.
I received my BA in 1992 from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Communications, and a minor degree in Graphic Design that I acquired through the Academy of Art in San Francisco. After graduating, I moved to Colorado and worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer until marriage and the purchase of our first home led me to build a mosaic table for the dining room and a stained glass window for the living room. I've been hooked ever since, both to mosaic and stained glass, and to Colorado where the sun shines brightly almost every day of the year.
Most of the work I have done in the past 15 years has been in mosaic and glass, but more recently I've advanced my skills in sculpture, paint, mixed media assemblage, computer graphics, and now I can say I've designed a website (you're lookin' at it.)
With all of the materials available to artists, the possibilities are truly unlimited. I am excited to have the chance to explore those possibilities. I hope you like what I come up with.
